چکیده

The main objective of present work is to describe the feasibility friction stir welding (FSW) forjoining low carbon steel with dimensions (3 mm X 80 150 mm). A matrix (3×3) weldingparameters (welding speed and tool rotational speed) was used see influence each parameter onproperties welded joint .Series experiments were conducted using CNC milling machineutilizing wide range transverse machine. Effect on mechanical properties weld joints investigated different testsincluding (tensile microhardness tests ). Micro structural change during process wasstudied zones optical microscope. weldingexperiments that show can be withmaximum efficiency (100.02%) in terms ultimate tensile strength best result ofwelding parameters (700 RPM, 25 mm/min, respectively and0.2 plunging depth tool) ,there afirst time we obtain reach to100.02 % this type by FSW. corrosion resistance measure whichis new test way obtained from ontraditional processes for thiswelding plate better than base metal. Maximum temperature has been calculated numerically byusing ANSYS program. peak 1102°C, percentage minimum themelting point .

Optimization of the parameters of low-carbon steel (EN10130) welding using friction stir welding method

Friction-stir welding process is a novel method of solid state welding, which produces heat due to friction between the pin, the shoulder and the workpiece. This heat causes a paste area. Shoulder pressure and pin spin cause edges integration and lead to welding. In this study, firstly, the feasibility of welding of steel sheet (EN10130) with a thickness of 1.5mm has been tested by 58 experim...

A Review on Friction Stir Welding of Steel

–Friction stir welding is a solid state welding technology used for welding low melting point metals, such as Al, Mg and its alloys. Later welding was conducted on dissimilar metals which also produced a better defect free joint. Tool design and welding parameters contributes a major role for producing a better weld. Material flow and friction heat are the factors that the internal factor for t...
